Assessments may also include impact analyses of program changes or proposals for new approaches for monitoring, managing, or evaluating critical programs. Assesses the efficiency and integrity of the Privacy programs and their execution. Develops new metrics to measure the effectiveness of program initiatives approved by CFPB executive leadership.Conducts privacy compliance assessments of information collections going through Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA) review, as needed Conducts regular Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) reviews. Conducts the required System of Records Notice (SORN) reviews, including coordinating with system owners to ensure the privacy documentation appropriately reflects the needs of the operational unit. Conducts required Privacy Continuous Monitoring (PCM). Regularly reviews portfolio systems to ensure compliance with all relevant laws, policies, and best practices. Participates in audits of programmatic and system controls that in-place and ensures the Privacy program meets all industry and legal standards.Develops and conducts training that incorporates appropriate privacy protections into all relevant aspects of CFPB operations Monitors offices and programs within assigned portfolio to ensure adherence to Privacy governing directives and instruction. Participates in the implementation of policies and programs required by law to protect personal records under the Privacy Act, E-Government Act, or other privacy guidance through the entire lifecycle of Bureau information systems. Drafts standard operating procedures, guidance, and handbooks for the Privacy team and other teams that have a responsibility for safeguarding personally identifiable information (PII).Recommends the adoption and application of new methods and approaches to ensure program or project requirements are aligned with strategic objectives Reviews proposed Bureau policies and procedures that have a privacy component and provide recommended changes to impacted management and program processes.Provides guidance in the development and establishment of Privacy policies and procedures to ensure that significant privacy issues are identified, and deficiencies are addressed Monitors Federal law, regulation, and policy for changes that affect the Privacy program.If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position. The following are the duties of this position at the CN-53, broadly equivalent to the GS-13.
